Retreat FAQs

How strenuous are the mindful walks?

Walks are fairly gentle, on marked paths and up to 3 miles. We will take group needs into account when planning the walks to enable as many as possible to join.

Do I need any special equipment or clothing?

Our retreats are definitely informal and casual clothing is best. Please bring warm clothes and waterproofs for going outdoors, and sturdy shoes or boots for walking - we are in Derbyshire so weather is always unpredictable!

I have a long way to travel, is it OK if I arrive a bit late?

We encourage guests to arrive on time, but we realise that’s not possible for everybody and we can allow some flexibility for you if you need it. Please let us know if that’s the case.

If I book a shared room, who will I be sharing with? (residential retreats only)

There are a maximum of 10  like-minded guests on this retreat and, in a shared room, you would be with 1 other guest. We invite you to bring an open mind and heart with you and to use the retreat as an opportunity to build meaningful relationships with the other guests including the other person sharing your room, and to trust that you have been connected to that person for a reason.

How do I book my spot?

Simply use the RSVP button located on the retreat page to register your interest and we'll be in touch to answer any questions and confirm your booking. Alternatively you can call Rachel direct on 07753790158.

What is the cancellation policy?

If cancelled by you: All payments are non-refundable. If you cancel more than 30 days before the retreat you will be charged 50% of the booking.. If you cancel within 30 days of the retreat you will be charged 100% of the booking. 

 

Travel insurance is highly recommended. If you choose to purchase insurance we require that your travel insurance covers the activity of this retreat as well as unexpected cancellation, sickness, losses and all the usual risks. You should bring the policy with you in case of an emergency.

If cancelled by us: We reserve the right in any circumstances to cancel a retreat. In particular our retreats require a minimum number of at least 75% of the participants to have booked by 30 days before the start date. If this minimum number is not reached by that date we may cancel and refund the money to you.

What is your COVID-19 policy?

All participants are required to complete a consent form in advance of the retreat confirming their adherence to the following:

 

Please read and indicate your agreement to the following COVID19 Transmission statements. They are put in place to help safeguard and promote your health, safety, and wellbeing of all involved in your retreat.
 

I understand that I will not be permitted to join the retreat if I show signs or symptoms of COVID 19. These include, Fever/high temperature, a new cough, a loss of taste/smell. I also understand that I will not be able to attend the retreat if I should be self-isolating for any or all the duration of the course
