Our Spring Renewal Journey - Chrysalis Retreats Newsletter Spring 2024

Embrace the Transition

Nourish, Restore, and Boost Your Energy this Spring!

Hello from Chrysalis Retreats!

As we say goodbye to the cosy winter vibes and welcome the gentle warmth of spring, it's the perfect time to embark on a journey of renewal. Transitioning from the chilly embrace of winter to the vibrant bloom of spring here in the UK is like a breath of fresh air for the soul. So, let's dive into how we can make the most of this beautiful shift together.

Our renewal journey as retreat facilitators has already begun as we have been developing ideas for our new focus on creating bespoke retreat experiences to promote wellbeing from within for existing groups of women. We are moving into a new phase as we offer inspiration for your personal retreats over the rest of this year, as well as creating in- person group retreats. We are here to nourish your personal growth, support you to restore balance and renewal as well as to boost your energy for what's to come - embracing new beginnings. There's a beautiful reason we are taking our time to nurture and grow our new style retreats as Rachel is about to welcome the arrival of a new baby - due around the Spring Equinox. As Rachel takes time out to embrace this new phase of family life we'll both be enjoying the energy renewal and optimism that spring brings.

What this winter / spring means for us is to embrace these new beginnings with enthusiasm and optimism. This includes...

  • taking time to get out in nature, appreciate the first snowdrops and spring bulbs as they peep through the ground. It's about connecting with nature as it comes to life around us, soaking in the sights, sounds, and smells of springtime.

  • Creating room to restore balance and renewal; creating time to relax and rejuvenate. Listening to our bodies cues, and honouring its need for rest. That could be regular moments to sit down with a book, or take a stroll in the park, or an early night, or anything that feels right to support your own self-care.

  • As the days grow longer, that brings new energy to invigorate body and mind. Embrace the vitality of the season and allow fresh air and sunshine to energise you from within. It's an opportunity to set intentions for the season ahead, with a focus on growth and renewal.

How can you bring the spirit of winter / spring into your life?

It is worth taking some time to relax, to do a bit of personal thinking. Perhaps with a cuppa and your feet on the sofa, or outside in the garden or on a bench with a flask and snack. Here are a few questions to get you pondering.

To Nourish

  • What activities bring me joy and nourish my soul? How can I make time for them?

  • In what ways can I deepen my connection with nature and appreciate its nourishing qualities?

To Restore

  • What areas of my life feel out of balance, and what steps can I take to restore harmony?

  • How can I incorporate more moments of rest and relaxation into my daily routine?

To Boost your Energy

  • What physical activities bring me joy and boost my energy levels? How can I incorporate them into my routine?

  • What goals or intentions do I want to set for the season ahead, and what steps can I take to achieve them?

Take some time to reflect on these questions and perhaps journal your thoughts. Use this opportunity for self-discovery and growth as you embrace the transition from winter into spring. Remember, each season offers a new opportunity for renewal and transformation. Embrace it with open arms and a willing heart.

It's International Women's Day on 8th March 2024.

As we embrace the transition from winter into spring, let us also take a moment to think about International Women's Day on 8th March. This day serves as a powerful reminder of the strength, resilience, and achievements of women around the world. It's a time to celebrate the progress we've made towards gender equality while recognising the work that still lies ahead.

This year's theme for International Women's Day 2024 is Inspire Inclusion. When we inspire others to understand and value women's inclusion, we forge a better world. And when women themselves are inspired to be included, there's a sense of belonging, relevance, and empowerment. Collectively, let's forge a more inclusive world for women. You can find out more about the campaign this year here.

An inspiring quotation for you from one of our favourite authors - Margaret Atwood

This quote beautifully captures the essence of embracing the rejuvenating energy of spring and reconnecting with the earth. It reminds us to immerse ourselves fully in the beauty of the season, allowing it to nourish our souls and awaken our senses. So, let's roll up our sleeves, dig our hands into the soil, and let the essence of spring infuse our hearts with vitality and renewal.

So as we transition from winter into spring, let's embrace the opportunity for nourishment, restoration, and energy boosting. Let's revel in the beauty of nature's awakening and seize the moment to nurture our bodies, minds, and souls. Together, let's make this spring a season of growth, renewal, and abundant joy. Remember, each season offers a new opportunity for renewal and transformation. Embrace it with open arms and a willing heart.
